How does it work?
How does it work?
The breath helps to release what our body holds on to. When physical or emotinal stresses occur, it is common to hold your breath which disrupts the flow of energy. When hands are placed on certain energy locations, called Safety Energy Locks (SEL), they help to re-harmonize your life energy. How often do you hear people say they hold their stress in the shoulders? Most likely they are unknowingly refering to a Safety Energy Lock location.
Imagine the body as an electrical system in a house. One doesn’t see the electricity, but we all know it’s there. If the electricity becomes overloaded, a safety feature known as a breaker switch flips in the breaker box to prevent further harm in the house.
In the case of Jin Shin Jyutsu, these SEL’s act as breakers for the body. They stop further harm throughout the body by blocking one SEL and signaling for you to take notice. Signs of stagnant energy are pain, stress, anxiety, insomnia, indigestion, inflammation, and more. If the signals are ignored, they become bigger for you to respond. If no response occurs, then chronic conditions may appear.
A Session for You
For your comfort, wear loose fitting clothing.
It is best to refrain from eating approximately one hour before the session
Each session lasts 1 hour. You will be laying fully clothed on a padded massage table with a blanket if desired.
All you need to do is relax. Falling asleep is even welcomed! Healing takes place when sleeping.
Applying gentle touch is how Jin Shin works to move stagnant energy. Often deep breaths or physical twitches occur when pathways open.
It takes 8 hours for the energy to circulate through your body, so be kind to yourself and drink plenty of water.
